I am a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in individual, couples, and family psychotherapy, and maintain a private practice in North Saint Paul, Minnesota. Among my areas of expertise are sexual abuse, brain trauma, anxiety, depression, parenting, holistic health, and spiritual and growth-related work. In addition, I have presented to general audiences on topics ranging from intuitive development to the use of creativity to promote emotional growth and healing. I utilize both the animal-human connection and nature to facilitate emotional healing as an adjunct to my office work, with some sessions taking place at equine or other outdoor sites.
I am an interactive, solution-focused, and holistic therapist. My treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. I incorporate a blend of conventional and alternatives approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client, exploring problems on the emotional, physical, and spiritual level. I look carefully and compassionately at the greater context of my client’s circumstances in order to offer the most informed assistance possible. With sensitivity and compassion, I work with each client to help them build upon their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.
